Redness around the hair follicles after treatment
Immediately after the procedure, the area around the hair follicles may appear red or slightly swollen. This is a normal reaction indicating that the follicles have been effectively treated and will typically subside within a few hours to a few days.
Use sunscreen
Exposing the treated area to sunlight can lead to pigmentation issues. Be sure to apply sunscreen whenever you go outside.
Moisturize your skin
Laser treatments can cause skin dryness, so it's important to apply enough moisturizer, such as body lotion, to keep the skin hydrated.
Avoid plucking or waxing
Wait for the hair to naturally fall out before the next treatment. Plucking or waxing the hair before the next session will reduce the effectiveness of the laser treatment. If necessary, only shave the area lightly.
Avoid irritating environments
For 2-3 days after the treatment, avoid activities like saunas, swimming pools, or intense exercise that could irritate the skin.
Is laser hair removal permanent? How many sessions are needed?
Laser hair removal aims for permanent hair reduction, not complete permanent removal. With repeated treatments, hair growth can be significantly reduced, but because hair naturally cycles through the growth (anagen), regression (catagen), and resting (telogen) phases, only hairs in the growth phase can be effectively destroyed. For this reason, we typically recommend 5 or more sessions at 4–6 week intervals to achieve optimal and satisfying results.
Why does your clinic use various types of hair removal lasers compared to others?
Because everyone’s skin tone and hair thickness are different. To ensure safe and effective treatment for all conditions—whether fine hair, coarse hair, or darker skin tones—we use hair-removal lasers with multiple wavelengths and create a personalized treatment plan for each individual.
Should I shave before the treatment?
Yes, please shave the area 1–2 days before your treatment. If the hair is too long, it can increase the risk of burns and reduce the effectiveness of the laser. However, since the laser needs to target the hair follicle, please do not wax or pluck the hair with tweezers under any circumstances.
