Swelling and bruising are natural reactions
Since this is an injection procedure, some swelling or bruising may occur afterward. This is the most common response and usually subsides naturally within 1–2 weeks, so there's no need to worry. Applying a cold compress in the early stages can help.
Do not press or touch the treated area strongly
The filler needs time to settle in place. For about 2 weeks after the procedure, avoid pressing the area strongly, getting facial massages, or sleeping face down, as these can alter the shape.
Avoid excessive heat exposure
Activities that raise body temperature, such as saunas, hot baths, or intense exercise, may worsen swelling or inflammation. Keeping cool for at least a week will support recovery.
Refrain from alcohol and smoking
Alcohol and smoking can trigger inflammation and dilate blood vessels, prolonging swelling and bruising. For healthy and faster recovery, it is best to avoid them for at least one week.
Light cleansing and makeup from the next day
To prevent infection at the injection site, cleansing and light makeup are recommended starting the next day. When cleansing, gently roll without rubbing the treated area too strongly.
Contact the clinic immediately if you notice these symptoms
If blisters appear at the treatment site, if skin color changes, or if severe pain persists to the point of disrupting daily life, contact the clinic right away to have your condition checked.
Is it true that Belotero adheres better to the skin than other fillers?
Yes, thanks to Belotero's core CPM™ technology. Its unique gel structure contains multiple densities that integrate seamlessly with the skin tissue. This allows even areas with thin skin to achieve smooth, natural results without unevenness, as if it were your own skin.
Is it safe to use Belotero on thin areas like under the eyes or the lips?
Absolutely. Belotero actually excels in such areas. Its ultra-smooth particles spread evenly, providing natural results without lumps or visible irregularities—even on delicate under-eye skin or highly mobile areas like the lips.
How does it differ from Juvéderm or Restylane?
All three are excellent fillers, but each emphasizes different qualities. Juvéderm focuses on soft volume, Restylane on precise sculpting, while Belotero's main strengths are "adhesion" and "harmony" with the skin. It's ideal for filling fine lines in the superficial layers and achieving results that look naturally integrated with your own skin.

Belotero is a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler made using CPM™, a patented technology by MERZ, Switzerland. Its multi-density structure allows different gel densities to coexist, enabling the filler to integrate seamlessly with the skin. This ensures natural-looking volume that moves with your expressions without any foreign sensation. With remarkable adhesion that feels like one with your skin, it is the ideal solution for those seeking the most natural and refined results.
